Fig Tree Identifcation

About this Blog

Fellow Fig Lovers: I have a beautiful fig tree growing, and I was wondering if anyone could help me identify it. It grows a large breba crop that starts growing in February and ripens in May; the fig starts to grow in May but never really produces an edible crop (this tree grows in Phoenix where the summer is really hot - I think the fig crop starts growing in the summer but eventually falls off the tree due to the excessive heat). The origin of the tree is from Sicily. Can you please provide your feedback what the type of tree I have based on the description and pics? Thank you!
