    Saw these:

Can anyone comment on Farthing, with respect to taste, growth, abundance, etc.? My impression from reading the growers' descriptions is that they are relatively one big meh.

I have never tried Farthing, nor sought it. Haven't read anything about it that interested me, other than it being low chill (200-300 hrs). The description of flavor is not very exciting - 'mild, tart'. No thanks. I'd rather grow another tried and true with good flavor.

      Gina,

Thanks for the input. That's been my impression as well, that its descriptions of "mild and tart" aren't exciting when there are better ones to pick from. I'lll wait and look forward to when the Sweetcrisps and Springhighs fruit!

I think there is a chance that two of the small blueberry plants I purchased from Florida Hills Nursery on ebay are Farthing instead of the Scintillas I wanted. Their physical description fits that more than Scintilla. I bought 3, and I definitely received two different varieties of plants. I knew I was taking a chance.
