Hello Everybody! This is my very first time posting over here in the blueberry forum
I must admit though I have been lurking here & there for quite a while already 😈 lol.. Okay so since I'm already obsessed with rooting figs, I fig'd
why not try to root blueberry plants?? My parents have 8 awesome highbush blueberry plants that I raid each summer religiously (and also try to take care of for them ie pruning, fertilizing etc). I would REALLY love a clone of this super productive variety, whatever the heck it is.. It's definitely TASTEY 😋! So I took some nice cuttings a few weeks ago when I was pruning. (New red growth, all vegetative buds & no fruit buds on these babies). So I threw them in a bag of coir after applying some rooting hormone and here I am 3-4 weeks later and they look kinda weird.. I don't know if they are little roots or a callous, or some weird fungal growth or what have you.. Would you mind taking a look at the pic below and telling me what you think this growth is please? It's not on all of them.. Just the thinner ones.. Weird in a cool kinda way.. Hopefully something good is happening here bc I would LOVE to have this blueberry bush at my house
