Sayerville. With an A.
Looks nice. I never had a large fig so I am looking forward to some this year or next. Might have to start considering the local U. varieties.

Only if you want to spell it correctly

Actually, way back when I got it, it was labelled "Syreville". It stuck. I never confirmed the correction with Aaron.

That's what I call a holdover main. More often than not they don't take. But sometimes you get lucky. And when it happens they have a really big head start

Oh that's cool! I read somewhere that they won't ripen and that they should be pulled off before dormancy. I'm going to try this. Do you leave all unripe mains on during dormancy or just select ones? Any tips for getting them to remain viable and ripen?

Actually it’s more of an accident when I do leave them on. Some growers have had problems with mold when leaving them on. Also, of the ones that are left on very few continue to grow when the tree wakes back up. At least this is my experience
