Worth the wait last year to sacrifice figs for root establishment first. Now in their 2nd leaf they are producing a nice little crop. These trees are the best producers this year. There’s 5 pictures. Tap on the first picture to see all with their names.

They look very far along for Zone 6b. The top tree looks like a Mt. Etna type from the leaf texture and shape. Good production.Zone 8A Southeast NC Coast

The first picture you mentioned is one I purchased from Big Bill at off the beaten path. It’s called Shoeneck Unknown because it’s from a town in n Pennsylvania called Shoeneck. He said the mother tree is still on the property attended by the same family since the time of the Underground Railroad. I got just one fig from it last year. It was good. I thought it has a nectarine flavor.
