  • Anticipation!

    Waiting on my very first fig grown from a cutting - De tres esplets! I'm determined not to pick it too early but don't have a lot of experience judging.

    Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    The more ugly it gets, the better.

    Do you have pests? May need to protect it in some way if this is your first go around. Birds, ants, dogs, neighbors…

    It needs to sag more, get some wrinkles...maybe a few skin cracks. It'll be ready.

    Looking good though....don't let temptation get you, few more days. Lol

      Let it droop, and a crack or two is a good thing. As a learned forum member has stated, ' when you're sure it's ripe wait.another day or two'.
