  • Battaglia gigante!!

I’ve never tried this yet but I’m super excited 😜 look at this thing it’s gonna explode!! It’s been 7 days and it’s not ready yet!! Hopefully tomorrow’s full sun will do it’s job. Looks like it wants to picked but I know it’s not ready. I’m fully excited for this one 😆

My Battaglia is loaded too, but figs are far from your fig. The one fig in your hand. Let me/us know what it tastes like and add a picture to your thread. 😉👍🏻

The funny thing is the tree is about 10” inches tall with only 2 figs. I’ll definitely keep you posted. Looks like it will be ready in any coming day.

Just ate a 70g breba too. Was a nice thick rich treat the wife enjoyed. Not watery like some green honey types can be

Yes they do get big. Do not over water it. In fact just before they ripen cut back on watering . And do not pick it early. Let it sag or almost fall off. The flavor is very differant from almost ripe to perfect ripe.

Some figs take a really long hang time. Dont follow me and pick it too early!!LOL. let that puppy crack at the skin. I found one that fell off the tree and laying on the patio . It was slightly shriveled up. yet inside was a ruby red inside ,no spoilage . I tried eating it and it tasted 1000% better than picked off the tree. Flavor was unbeatable-unlike strawberry but more fruit punch.

Battaglia is a delicious one. Mine taste like strawberries...sweet strawberries...it produces a lot of figs as well. It's a favorite for me!
