  • Moscatel Preto 2021

Fist fig off of a two year old tree.
One of the best figs of the year so far.
Thick, with that tongue coating syrup.

You're killing me!!! I'm pushing into August and my wife keeps asking me when. If I show her these pics I'm in trouble 😂. Thank you for sharing they look superb. Congrats.

Heat make figging much easier. We just moved to Texas in January. You could always tell your wife if you move to Texas she’ll have plenty of figs😂😂😂. Mine was crazy enough to say yes🤣🤣🤣🤣. There were other factor but figs was pretty high on the list, lol

Looks good Nate. I know Jamie D is a big proponent of that one…I’ve killed it two years straight on her recommendation!
CJ in Memphis 7b/8a….tight eyes, nonsplitters...Pons figs, French figs, Mario figs & tasty Cali seedlings!

Remind me in the spring and I’ll set an air layer if you want to trade or I can do it now. But figurered you may not want to mess with it over winter😉

My cutting was growing slowly until I accidentally overwatered it. I'm still hoping it will recover. The stem still looks somewhat green but it dropped all leaves. I've had Florea fail two years in a row.

Give it a little more time and you’ll be blown away. This was from this morning.

That looks great! Mine wasn’t even fully sagging.
My wife made me pick it😂. A squirrel been pillaging, but will be mitigated shortly.

      👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I think I’ll get to try this one next year, mine is young and doesn’t have signs of figs yet. Sounds like you’re loving the weather at your new place!
