Jordanian Zraqi Main 2021

This is one of my favorite figs, its a family tree which was originally found or at least where its known to be originated from, a small town near the city of Amman in Jordan which is called Wadi Al-Seer ( named after a prehistoric queen Seer that ruled the area), my father purchased a small plant almoat 30 years ago.

It was very sweet and had a mild figgy flavor. It tasted like a bite of a Black Madeira and a Smith at the same time 😋

Because it was uncaprified it was much sweeter and smaller.

I can't wait to try this one it looks great! Maybe next year for me, it's growing very well and has thick new growth.

Oh sorry to hear that, I wish you told me earlier, I was using my extra rooted ones as rootstock. I will spare a few for you this fall.
