        Oh my gosh I got to taste a bunch of the fig cakes including 1st and 2nd in the non-traditional class. I liked 2nd better than first.

          The second place fig was this beauty. Yum. I'm sure there was chocolate and rum involved.

            The third cake had a little too much other stuff (but no rum). Crystallize ginger, pistashios, You lost the figs. Rum is good though. After all this was Blackbeard's party spot

            Definitely helps...figs, chocolate, rum, mascarpone...we're closing in on a recipe!
