  • Lampeira Prusch Main 2021

This tree just continues to impress me. It is insanely gorgeous inside and the deep color bleeds through to the skin and this is very complex with deep berry notes and full of honey sweetness and a slightly acrid skin.

I have 2 of these. One I got direct from Prusch and the other was given by a trusted friend that has fruited his but so far, the 2 figs are quite different. I don’t get breba from the other and they also don’t show the deep coloring of this one.

This fig has been in my top 20 for the last 3 years. Let’s see if it keeps its place for year 4. It’s off to a promising start. That’s for sure! :-)

I love it when you see the interior color bleed through the skin. You know good things are coming soon. Beautiful fig.

Holy moly. I can’t ever remember, is this one common? Looks a bit like Ponte tresa with how dark it is. Cool fig.

Yes. It is common and a top tier fig without the wasp

The better one so far is the one that I got direct from Prusch but the other was also supposed to have been taken direct from Prusch and I have no reason to doubt that.

Maybe it is just coincidence. My original is a year older. I’ll keep an eye on them

That is a beautiful fig! Is the main crop similar in taste between the 2? Super curious how mine will turn out now

These are main crop and they look and taste almost the same as the breba. These are better but that could be the heat. I’ve only ever had 2 breba since it’s a young tree. It may have been a fluke

I really like this one too but unfortunately it hasn’t started ripening for me until the end of September which is right at the end of my season.

It hasn’t developed those deep dark colors for me. Do your nights dip down into the 50s still?

No. I don’t think so. Low 60’s usually.
