This was the first fig, but it has a few more. Very tasty!

Interesting looking fig drbud . Looks of caramel and honey. How mature is the tree? I keep asking the same question when you post a fig... my I see the tree please?

Is it more figgy than berry?

Rooted Summer 2019, up potted to 7 gal plant bag Spring 2020, planted in ground spring 2021.
My wife said it was more “figgy, almost banana taste, though”. Will take a photo of the tree tomorrow!

Hilliard you must have a top notch trapping program in place because I don’t ever see you complain about vermin and you always have these nice figs to show us!

Last year, I had to put an electric fence up. This year, The bird’s got their fill of Celeste (after all the rain, they were tasteless), I guess, as they haven’t been a problem with what’s ripening now. A month ago, I’d drive up to my house and there would be 6-8 squirrels in the front yard and 6-8 squirrels in the backyard and I was ready to put the fence back up and get the shotgun out, Then they all disappeared??virus? I saw one lone squirrel in the road today. Tons of chipmunks but they haven’t bothered things either, YET.

Its interesting watching Guineas attack a fruit, one will give it a taste test with the others watching, if its ok they all gang up on the fruit like piranhas and its gone in seconds! We have a poultry zone where we know we wont get those figs and a dog zone, I think my dog licks the unripe ones so I wont eat them, the look he gives when he does this seems like its on purpose!
