This is a tester fig that was shared by a collector in San Diego. These figs are enormous!!! Extremely heavy and the most dense of any of my varieties. Most have been 100+g and some over 200g!!!

They are full of honey and they take forever to ripen on the tree. These have hung for 10+ days after swelling. They have an open eye and that can cause problems as some were spoiled by bugs. The flavor is interesting they are pleasant and mild. It is a juicy and refreshing fig.

The darker color that was cut through the middle was the first truly ripe one I’ve had and it was much better than I had expected in both texture and flavor as it became dense and super jammy and the flavor was finally where it needed to be. So, give this one PLENTY of hang time and allow it to get soft and you are in for a treat, or a thanksgiving dinner sized meal!!

That’s a gorgeous fig. If only the eye was a bit smaller. Would probably make a cool candidate for your breeding project for sure.

I got this one too, quite new.
Got a big Breba this year, it set on many maincrop.
But the hangin time was very long here.
And in this cool rainy summer the Breba was not very good.
      Here together with other Brebas.
Best taste in my opinion had Valle Negra and Negronne on this plate.
      The sweetest was Osborne Prolific.
The Settimo looked so great but was quite watery.
