      Sorry for the late reply . It is a good fig ,very similar to BP but larger and more acidity .

      I vote for Braçajote Preto, still much popular in Algarve ,aka VdS, Parisiène,Negro Largo..

      Violeta has a diff profile ,a conspícuos thick neck and when
      presented sufficiently ripe, always shows that ‘furtiva lacrima’ !

        JR this one was given to me by some nice people in your neck of the woods [got 3 little ones can spare you one] and you are right ,this one is probably a strain of BP but larger with stronger flavor.
