Hello,
Came across an interesting article: https://www.extension.purdue.edu/ext...O/HO-253-W.pdf
Was wondering if anyone has used any of these methods to speed up the ripening process for main crop figs?
I was thinking of experimenting with this in both of my greenhouses.
Green house #1 would use a one or two 2000w led lights set to turn on four hours before sunrise.
Green house #2 would use lower intensity lights, to turn on for 5 minutes every half hour for 4 hours from 10pm to 2am.
I am located in zone 7a in NJ so at this time of the year the plants are already getting full sun from about 8am to 7pm or so.
Any thoughts whether this would be worth trying or a not really worth the time would be appreciated.
