Thanks! That is great to know. My first tree was Chicago Hardy. You could say that it is what got me started down the path of this fig fixation...this spring was the first year it needed to be pruned. I thought I had seen something about rooting fig cuttings, so I started to research back in March and found Ourfigs, the fig databases, Figbid...
And I have something like 12 Chicago Hardy potted plants from that first foray and experimentation into rooting cuttings this last March. I’ve given some away already, but think I’ll hang on to some and maybe experiment with grafting next growing season. Good to know that this variety is a great one for root stock! Thanks!
