  • My first Galicia Negra

Bought this last year from Padsfan. It had figlets that I discarded the first year and this year it'll likely ripen 10 or more figs. The critters have tragically beat me to every ripening GN this year until today. This has actually been early for me and if not for pests I would have had ripe figs a week or more ago.

This fig is smaller although I have some bigger ones ripening. Closed eye for me so far. Taste wise I was very happy with it. As others have mentioned it's figgy caramely with berry notes. But the best part about it is the density which gives it a cool texture. Click image for larger version
