After a year of almost always giving positive feedback on figbid I suppose i will join the "cool" crowd and mostly ignore it. I for sure no longer will be first in any transaction to give it out. Thank you to those that have been the exceptions... feedback appears to be valuable

As a buyer, I should have about 12 more than I do....but people just don't want to give it out I supposed.

    Eh.

There is a time limit and I’ve often tried to give out feedback too late. I’ve bought and sold and definitely have way less feedback versus transactions. It doesn’t bother me, what does annoy me is sharing plant material and getting no response back from the recipient. A simple thanks goes a long way

I’ve missed the window a few times by accident. But I reached a point where I stopped giving it out unless they gave feedback on me, because then I figured the feedback mattered to them. It’s a weird feeling when you leave feedback for someone, but they don’t leave feedback for you, not that should matter. But it’s like you played into something narcissistic & fed a beast while getting nothing back. 🤨😂 (jk!)

But, I’m not really into leaving reviews on other platforms anyhow, unless there was something unusually great or bad. And on figBid, the window is too short to give any feedback than on immediate issues. Plus the feedback all ends up being the same & it doesn’t really differentiate the great, good, mediocre & bad.

I suppose I’m kind of apathetic about it, but I’m happy to give feedback for someone who would like it. And I have immense appreciation for every seller that goes the extra mile to send something great, communicates & ships timely.

The way I see it, If someone bid on your auction and wins it, and pays quickly with no issues....you should give them positive fb.
They did their part and did it well....they deserve it.
I know it sucks if they do not reciprocate.....but that's life.

Back in my ebay days....I always left it for them if they paid as should.

Eh.....those days are gone now I suppose, It's all..."you first" now. LOL

only sold for a small time period but i followed the figbid suggestion of giving positive feedback to the buyer as soon as they pay. i don't think i will do that anymore. maybe they lose motivation to be second lol

The FB is just a bi-product of the transaction anymore, I just want my item. lol

I am me. I strive to not let how others behave affect how I behave. Not everyone notices they forgot to leave feedback and not everyone realizes how important it can be. I try to remember to leave feedback but I also try not to judge others by my own personal standards of etiquette.

"cool" crowd was a bit harsh i guess. i did not make it clear but i am mostly referring to buyers that have already responded to my correspondence with something like "arrived in great shape thanks" to which i send one last email "please leave feedback for this new seller if you are happy with your win" ... if one is forgetful at the moment they read a message... i think it is a bit nutty also that i can buy from some top sellers multiple times and never see their name in my feedback. I'm only saying i am forgetful now too and giving the reasons why

I’ve made 67 purchases on Figbid and received 33 for feedback. I too have stopped giving feedback unless the seller leaves me one first!

i hear you and now if you were to buy from me there will be no feedback results because we have learned. i admit when i buy from the same seller over and over i don't leave feedback everytime and if they did not leave me feedback i don't at all after the first.

On auction websites, as a seller, i typically wait for a couple of days after the package has been received before leaving feedback. There are some people out there with unreasonable expectations that seemingly don't want to be satisfied no matter how much is refunded or how much product can be reshipped and feedback is the only real avenue for public rebuttal in those few situations. Fortunately i haven't run across this on figbid, but other auction sites have made delayed feedback a habit.

I also think part of the feedback 'issue' is that 99% of the feedback on figbid is glowing praise without much actual substance. It seems like a figbid taboo to leave anything but 5 star reviews for fear of pissing off others in the community or being blocked by a bigtime seller. Anonymity is a double edged sword, but i feel like it may make feedback slightly more honest.

one seller asked me to give feedback... i replied "it is a 4 star transaction for me i will leave that feedback if you wish" and they did not respond. i think 4 star transactions should happen often with feedback ... seems like a good rating to me.
