  • Pest ID?

    Hey guys,

Thought I just had squirrels and birds eating my figs.

Then I found this today. It only happens at night.
this one was about 2’ up a tree.

whatever it is has a wide bite.
    any ideas would be appreciated.

    My guess is an Opposum.

Could be a rat. Might be two separate areas where it was eating as opposed to one strange bite mark from a larger animal.

My guess was a deer bit it and didn’t like it

Do you have young children? It looks like a human bite. If not, I'd also guess deer.

I have a 2yrld. But haven’t seen her near that fig. I live in a neighborhood with a fully fenced yard so doubt it deer.
Maybe was my daughter. I agree it looks like a child bite. But she would normally pick it and eat it. Not just savage it on the tree🤣
