  • Eggplants and big eggs

    Still have more than 200 hours of vacation time this year. So, I took a day off wondering in the yard. I notice that the eggplants are extremely productive. They are in a 3.5 gallon pot and a 5 gallon bucket. I grow them exactly like I grow the figs -- Same potting mix and same fertilizer. Except, eggplants are extremely thirsty. They drink more than a gallon a day.

    And found this egg in the coop today. I have a hen keep laying double yolk eggs. None bigger than this one.
