  • Panache Fig, what fig are similar and Split resistant?

So I love Panache fig, flavor is amazing. I am looking for similar figs that I can add to the orchard. Something that ripens early or later then Panache. Needs to be resistant to splitting since I live in Louisiana. Thanks!

Vernino(Pasquale) dark purple skin has an even deeper berry flavor than Panache and should be later. I haven’t seen them split but I’m in the dry west.

      Try Durio Nursery in Opelousas.

If you like the taste of the panaché, I’d recommend any of the Adriatic’s. They all have the acidic sweetness that it posses with mostly closed eyes. Adriatic JH, ischia green, strawberry verte, white Adriatic, etc. all will do good in our sauna of an environment!
