    Troiano Calabrese Breba : 07-12-21
I do not know how cold hardy it is because it is in 7 gallons pot but sets about 40+ Breba and 20+ main crop. This is the highest number of breba figs sets on my potted figs ever but not much vegetative growth on plant. It is a good fig.

Breba from my in ground Hardy Chicago (07-17-21). I do not remember even main crop was ever that good. It is all growing conditions 90+ F for last few days dry weather helped a lot to achieve these.

Carini Breba 07-22-21. It was super sweet just like eating sugar. It is a big fig , cold hardy and I think will be a good choice for inground.

Salem Dark Breba harvested today 07-19-21. It was very good due to the dry hot weather. Also little bit more sweeter then my Hardy Chicago. My tree is in ground and producing for last ten days.

Malta Black Breba in ground harvested 07-25-21. It is little bigger and more sweeter then Hardy Chicago. I like this fig, it is cold hardy and good candidate for in ground. Can use an other day to ripe fully.

Figs are growing great and hoping for a very good main crop harvest. All these pictures were taken yesterday 07-31-21.

    Lattarula ( Potted ) Main 08-12-21 .

Here is my today’s harvest, little bit of everything 08-17-21 . I will be picking these at least for next two months. It will not be possible for me to cut open and show inside most were shown inside on last year post but if I see something special will show.
Few figs can stay a day or two on tree but getting a lot of rain so I have to pick these. Second and third picture are close ups of the same figs.

Simth is my favorite fig and it is top tier fig. ( 08-18-21 ) I am making more copies and please note it does not like too cold , too wet or too dry everything has to be in balance to get production out of it. Highly recommended in pots for our Zone 7A.

Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing. As a newbie it's great to see the results, of what could be. What kind of fig is that Troiano, is it similar to a I 258?

Thanks Steve Rewton . I have only four in ground figs Hardy Chicago , Salem Dark ( 4 th Year ) , Carini ( Second Year ) and Malta Black ( Second Year ) and everything else in pots +100.
I would love to plant more in ground but very limited space and sunlight. Hardy Chicago and Salem Dark sets 100 + breba and 500+ main crop and loving it. In pots is good but nothing like in ground.

I just planted a MBvs this year and it seems to be liking it. It has figs on - waiting for ripening. I am in 7a as well.

Thanks Gary. I suggest you plant Salem Dark or Hardy Chicago both are very good , cold hardy and great producer. Do not overlook easy availability just make sure you get plant or cuttings from who is growing in ground in 7A or Colder Zones.

These are Breba and you know color can be very different from main crop as I have seen. GN-AF is very strange as compare to main crop and for Laradek’s I will find out more after getting main crop this year.
