  • NOW I get it!

This is only the third fig I've tasted from any of my trees, but WOW, what a difference. I'm sure the DTE and Florea will get better with age, but there really was no comparison to the White Madeira #1.

WM#1 is one of the best figs in existence. It's one of my Top 3. The caprified WM#1 I had last week was one of the best figs of my life.

So now there's a White Madeira???

Playing catch up is gonna take some time, and money.

is there a Purple Madeira as well. If yes - what does it taste like?

There's a black madeira, I haven't tried it myself but I heard it is one of the best. They even call it the king of figs.

I been fortunate to grab hold of a BM on ebay.

Knowing the possibility of scammers I went ahead and picked it up only because it was a 1 1/2 foot plant (currently 3 feet) and the pics matched other BM's.

Currently it has put out 8 figs; but they are still green. So far it's looking good as the figs look exactly like BM.

This was from a cutting I began rooting on 12/27/20. If this is what a first-year WM #1 tastes like, I can't imagine what future years will bring. It will certainly be on my early start list!

One must pray to the old Fig gods. The Green Fig god in particular.

Next thing you know, you wake in in your bed, remove your sleep mask, as you notice the sheets feel damp;, and scream!!!

All around you are WM main crop figs!!!

Shortly after, you give Johnny Fontaine the part in the movie.
