First fig this season off of this third year in ground. I love this Etna, it will pump out figs from now until the leaves fall off, it's a real workhorse for me. This fig was 21 grams and ripened in 78 days from fruit set. Last year it was 80 days. Very sweet rich almost blackberry like with good seed crunch. It's another variety that will turn into jam on the tree if the weather cooperates.

BlackBerry you say?
What other flavors does it have?
I'm looking to collect different figs that have fruit flavors and although I haven't done any extensive research, this is the first time I hear BlackBerry flavor.

It's all in the tongue of the beholder really, but to me this one tastes simply more of blackberry than say strawberry. It's sweet, definitely figgy but got that berry tone as well. It's easier to do a google search for say "blackberry fig ourfigs" than to use the forum search, it works much better. You'll come up with some hits for sure.Last edited by JoePAFig; 08-19-2021, 07:33 PM.
