  • Antelco CFD Downspray Spray Stake

Just found the Antelco CFD downspray spray stakes for drip irrigation online last night. Here is a video showing how it works https://youtu.be/r7pRqM1deiQ. The website https://antelco.com/products/sprays/.../cfd-downspray.

I have just ordered some to test in my 6 gallon pots to see how they work. From what I've seen so far it looks like it will give my pots a nice even water coverage.

They should work nicely. I went with their Potstream sprayers, two per 6/8 gallon pot, one for smaller pots. I've been using them for three years now and the only time I've had to replace any was when pots blew over and they broke.

Thanks for the reply. The potstream looks like it does a good job for soil coverage also. Three years is a very long time so it is a reliable product.

Hopefully the CFDs do just as well as far a durability.

I wonder how much water is lost due to evaporation from the spray. Drippers must lose a lot less water because there is no spray.

Good point. I am currently using another type of spray stake which on the surface cover half the pot but with wicking all the soil is watered. I thought I would test these for comparison.

I’ve been eyeballing these for a while now. I’m curious to see how they work for you
