  • Figsters On Long Island and Connecticut BEWARE!!!

I just now heard on the Nightly News on NBC that the hurricane that was near Bermuda has taken a more westerly course and heading right for the center of Long Island then crossing over Long Island Sound into Connecticut, Massachusetts then curving to the east towards east coast. Hope you all stay safe.

I think the CT and RI folks are going to have a rough weekend as well....

Barricade so they dont wash away. Cinderblocks with holes to allow water flow while barricading sound best. You dam the water & it will damn you!

Better be safe than sorry especially with almost ripe figs. Be safe.

Moving all of mine into a greenhouse today. Wish I had done this a while back. I think the fruit quality has really suffered here in western CT with the lack of sunlight and incredibly rainy second half of the summer. Watered down flavor and splitting galore Here’s hoping it miraculously pushes east and no one gets hit.
