  • La Brante

Had my first La Brante from FdM. It had a moderate sweetness and some dragonfruit taste to it, but sweeter & some acidity. It was dense with a mild seed crunch and slight chewiness to it. It was delicious, can’t wait to see how much better it gets. It did come in at 16 grams, hoping the size will increase a little.

It pretty much tasted like a fig jolly rancher, would def recommend.

Nice cracking. I saw La Brante as FDM variety but didn't see too many posts on it. Thanks for showing us.

Hey bbbhhh, sorry for the late reply. Haven’t really had time to be on here. Yeah I have a bunch ripening right now. Haven’t had one yet.

Just picked my first ever La Brante. At 40 grams it was much bigger than yours Figgymonster.

Very light berry flavor, very sweet and thin but chewy skin. We’ve had a moderate amount of rain here the last few days and it held up pretty well as you can see.

Yeah, pretty close. I might even pick them today if needed, it's pouring non-stop here :\ Will report back.

I was’t going to post more fruits in here but the last fig on this tree looked fantastic but very different from the others, so I thought I’d share it. Too bad it was completely bland (rain & cold) 🤷‍♂️
