          Eating my first I258 a few weeks ago. It was not fully ripe, but it's the most filling fig ever.

            Agree. I haven't tasted this year's I-258 yet, but the one I had last year was among the tastiest figs I have eaten so far.

              oh my, that looks sooo good!!! Did you give it a head start this year? When exactly did it form the tiny figlets? Mine are still all green .

                No head start. It’s got the best spot. South facing full sun. I think figlets formed late May or early June. I did do one thing. I oiled the eye

              OK, Im about 2 weeks behind you ,same thing next to my house on a concrete patio facing South. Figlets formed in June. Maybe Ill try oiling a few !!!

                That's a really nice one. Last year here I258 and GNaf were my tastiest. Only 2 fruit in my small I258 this year but I just brought it under the carport ahead of the next 3 days predicted rains as they're just coloring up.
