  • Fico Giallo

Fico Giallo given to me by EricD around September 2019. It was so gorgeous looking when he first showed it to public viewer.
Last year it fruited 2 but I did not even tried it because birds wants to try it first.
Early this year I pruned it back to about a foot and discarded the long cutting, part of my deal to this variety not to share. It fruited almost every nodes and this month fruits were ripening one every day so I had plenty of time tasting these I believed were uncaprified fruits.

It was sweet with slight berry flavor and moderate seed crunch. I hope the taste profile will improve next year.

Looks pretty good. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't plant figs in my yard when I lived in San Marcos. Would have been pretty good.

Have you weighed him? It would be nice to add something for the scale.

Great looking fig. I’m really looking forward to trying this one. Unfortunately mine will not ripen this year.
