I have one that I’m hoping to harvest drying on the tree.
How long did you let it hang?
Mine is on day four - still a few days away. 🤞

Netstars About 6 days from when it changed color. It was still pretty firm to the touch and eye pointing up on the tree. But we had a rain storm and I didn’t want it to spoil in the organza bag. No latex when picked

you are in for a treat👍🏻

It was really good. It’s not supposed to need a lot of heat to ripen. Hopefully, yours ripen in the fall

Calderona was my fourth variety to start swelling this year.
              I was pleasantly surprised.
It is difficult to wait to pick it!
We have a wonderful forecast with no rain in sight.
51 days with no measurable rain.
Great for figs, fires not so much.

Netstars That is great fig weather!
They should ripen pretty well for you into the fall if needed. We’ve had half an inch+ of rain in the last two day during final swell. The eye started to open but it seems stable so far and shouldn’t get any bigger. This one should be ripe by tomorrow maybe Monday

We had another big storm come through so I picked it yesterday To avoid spoiling. It was still firm and dropped laytex. The inside was dry with minimal syrup (looked like dry red shag carpet. However the fig was still delicious, with more zing to it obviously not rich. But if you need to it’s still really under ripe

Had my first fig off my 1 year old Calderona. The outside didn't turn all black but the inside was dark red and tasty. Looking forward to continued improvement as the the tree ages.
