Oh baby, I've been waiting for this. Since I started growing Smith it's always been a fig here and a fig there. It was really nice to come home to five superb specimens this evening. Smith has a skin on the heavier side. The jam is outstanding but for me the best quality is this velvety sweetness that seems to stick to the tongue and linger for a very long time. There's not another fig I can think of that does this. It's like a figgy coating.
