I listened to your advice the other day and bagged it, well it was ready this morning. Not as big as I see on pictures here or on Lou Monti’s videos on YouTube but boy now I understand what makes Lou keep repeating um, um, um as he’s eating one. The texture was just thick and stuck to the roof of my mouth a little like peanut butter and the flavor was just unique. Now I want more but it only produced 2. Anyway here’s the picture.

Congrats! I had my first smith of the year as well and I can tell you it was one of my favourites. I can only imagine next year. It’s definitely a keeper for me. Looking forward to having it loaded with figs next season.Zone 5 Barrie, on

I put one in ground last year. This year it's grown more than any other tree, six feet tall with several stems, but not a single fig. I think it's the only in ground tree I have that didn't produce a single fig. I'll have to wait until next year.Zone 7B/8A Wake Forest, NC. Wish list - 1. To stop murdering fig cuttings. 2.
