  • Fig of the Day.... Bolzano Nero

    By now I'm sure it seems like I'm running the Pino fan club.... but the man has some off the hook figs. This is a true "figgy" fig. Sweet with a moderate seed crunch. For me, the tree took a bit longer than some to establish but the quality more than made up for the wait. It's a real keeper!

    I'm TorontoJoe and I approve this fig!

      It really is. Frankly I'm surprised this one hasn't become more popular. I've had many that are more expensive and more popular that are far lesser figs.

    Pino has some great figs. I believe Bolzano still ripens in colder weather, might have to put this one on my list.

      Nice size fig. I was always under the impression that Bolzano was a smaller fig.

        I think this is smaller than what Pino has grown but I'm not certain... My favourite part today was the absolute "figgy" flavour... it's like a Newton on steroids!
