  • Violet Sepor

Violet Sepor, not super late ripening, a colorful fig.

Also photoed, last plate of August (assorted), first plate of September (Mt Etnas). August plate: on right, Violet Sepor and Peter's Honey; top, Petite Negri; left brown, Hunt; center big, Emerald Strawberry; surrounding, Tiger, plus a couple Improved Celestes with the necks. Sepor, Negri, Hunt, Honey ... the sweetest, plus Improved Celeste. Then Tiger and Emerald Strawberry. Someone mentioned there's something going on in Tiger other than sugar fig flavor and I agree, some fruity notes. Will let future Emerald Strawberries hang longer because this is one that can really intensify.

Looks great. I like all the figs in the one plate, it shows the different sizes and variety of figs. It nice to see them all together sometimes.
