okay I do not like spiders period. Even tho we eat almost a pound of insects while we sleep over a life time I just don't like them. I known they sometimes beneficial to a garden but I think I counted 15 full spider webs and 90% had spiders on them. Every fig tree in my home garden has webbing on it. Figs are covered in webbing some more than others but is crazy. I'm afraid to even go in garden now ahahaha! Ever since grape vines start rapid growth more spiders. Should I leave them alone or clean off and spray garden?

Mike I intentionally put at least one spider on every Fig tree so that they all have their own guardian. I never kill or get rid of spiders, I just put them where I want them and let them do their work!!
They are cheap labor!!Scott - Colorado Springs, CO - Zone 4/5 (Depending on the year) - Elevation 6266ft

Mike,
Let me share a story with youWe had only been living in Florida maybe 6 months and one night I went to bed and had not been upstairs long when there is a shriek from downstairs from the wife. I said "problem dear"? She said "there is a huge spider down here on the floor" I respond "well I did not put it there". She said "well where did it come from" I replied with......"well when a mommy spider and a daddy spider love each other very much......" She though was not amused by my humor so I will spare all y'all with what she said. So I tell her "i'm not coming back down there just kill it." So she gets a magazine.......I hear the magazine hit the floor and then there was a barrage of shrieking. The spider is called a house warmer and it is a big spider and when they have babies they carry first the egg sack with them and then when they hatch the baby spiders stay with her and ride on her back for the first couple of weeks of life, thousands of them. SO when she just missed the momma spider with the magazine it dislodged the 1000 or so spiderlings which ran in every direction, or as she said it was like a spider bomb went off. I found the whole thing very funny.

There is a chance that I am one of the oddest members on the forum.
That said, arachnids being in the arthropod family have a tendency to taste like shrimp or crab.
