  • My First Smith - 2016

I just picked my first Smith and wow is it amazing. I cant describe the flavor other than very complex and lingering taste. This is #1 for me this year, good thing i have more than one tree for next year . The tree is small and shaded, so that is probably the cause to the coloration.

    Everyone should have this fig.

May the Figs be with you!

That is just how Smith looks, it is usually described as one ugly fig! I want to eat a Smith right now.... oh wait... I was just promised cuttings so I'll have to wait.... UHG!!!

That looks great Matty! I feel very fortunate that Ross traded me one of these at the Staten Island Fig Fest. I look forward to it. I'm going to have to take extra good care of it now.

Just picked my first few, as well. Delicious, but ugly. Don't judge the fig by its cover!

Never - wish it was more discolored near the neck, thats what i blame the shade for - the yellow neck

Ugly and great tasting what a combination. My line would be "don't worry I'll eat the ugly looking figs".
