It is indeed frustrating, Don. I could take the wife on a great vacation for the amount that I have spent on cultivars that did not end up being the claimed cultivar.
CA 9b "May you sit under your own fig tree..." This metaphor, in use since Solomon, is a wish for the receiver's spirit to know peace, for their family to be secure, and for their life to be fruitful.

Thank you very much for the offer but I actually have another Peter's Honey that appears to be labeled correctly.

The sad part will be passing up good varieties or propagating the mistakes if I can't tell the difference. This one is pretty easy to tell but some might not be so easy.

On a good note, Richters Negronne and Hardy Chicago fruited and appear to be correctly labeled. I'm thinking this one may be Black Spanish or Negronne but it didn't taste as good as the labeled Negronne. Granted it didn't get as much light and the figs were knocked off by a storm. Jury is still out on a couple of others that have yet to set a fig.
