  • BrooklynMatty's Fig Orchard Tour 2016

I figured i would jump on the video making experience and share my orchard with everyone, most of what you will see is 1st year plants. I only have about 5 plants that are from last year, so you'll see the growth that some can expect in a season. Most of my cuttings were started in Late January, and the rest through March. Hope you guys enjoy the video, i can do followups on any plant or area in particular if you want.

I missed some source names by accident, and i ommited a handful on purpose. I apologize if i missed thanking you, i thank everyone now

May the Figs be with you!

I know the osmocote is basically macro. That's why I supplemented with FP since it has them all. I like the garden tone since I think it stays longer and breaks down longer in this quick draining mix.

I'm really not a user of CRF's but have been trialing the two (2) Osmocotes for almost 2 seasons, since its recommended by growers...
Did you mix the Foliage Pro @ 1 teaspoon / gallon? Thanks.

Yea - i'm going to try not using CRF next year, i think they wash out too quick. I was using 2tsp per gallon since i was watering every other week. 1tsp if you do it weekly.

Dang Dude!!! That is quite the jump from what I saw in your garage! The DK went nut, it is a shame it did not produce and Brebras!!

Everything looks amazing, great job. Looks like you need about 50 more!!!

I've taken to shooting them in the butt with a cold jet of water from the garden hose.

Awesome job Ross - my wife was asking what i was watching that was 1 hour long on my phone. Great video, if i had the storage space on my phone i wouldve done more non fig stuff and talked more on the figs themselves.

The squirrels might like that...food and a shower after their meal. Lol.

Matt that would be greatly appreciated. The last two winters I've been unsuccessful with RdB cuttings. Lost to overwatering during the cup stage after significant roots in the coir bin. Very frustrating since it is not a particularly difficult variety to root.

NP Bill. I can try and get one started for you if you want in the spring, so you'll have one rooted and you can pick up locally. Let me know
