  • Curious about a seller on ebay

I couldn't find a topic on this. But I'm new here and still not use to everything yet.Sorry if I'm wasting space on a new topic/thread.

    With that being said!
I hope more people can use this to ask the same questions!
Just bid and won on some " Maltese falcon" cuttings. Seller had a 97. something rating with a 11 out of 301 negative. I hope it's legit.
So and I hope this is okay, to see if anyone has purchased and or has any info ( and please lets not just bash someone) on the seller good or not. Thanks

Sorry for the bad news, looks like you may have been scamed.

    Hopefully it works out anyway.

Or if possible, so and reverse the sale!

Its OK and encouraged, to ask questions.

There's been some discussions about that vendor...

The Index of FRT's sticky topic on the first page also contains lots of general info,

      Good Luck.

I highly recommend researching the seller BEFORE bidding. If the name doesn't come up as a positive or at all in the search, then buyer beware.... hope for the best or better yet don't buy. There is a lot of people out there that paid $100 for Black Maderia cuttings that turned out to be Brown Turkey.

Good luck with your purchase. I have a rule to never bid on ebay where a seller has less than 99, never.

You need to understand the rating is a 12 month rolling average. The seller in question has never has a good average over the past couple years.

I thought at first it was someone from the f4f forum but then realized after the fact it wasn't, from here or any other place I could find. So a learning experience i reckon!

I think this solution to this on going problem is pretty simple just add your forum name in your ebay auction, no forum name don't bid most 99% of people who sell cuttings and trees belong to the one of the forums

...And, who knows, with dausername's history, Buford you may end up having black mulberries fruit from those "Maltese Falcon" cuttings and discover that you really like them.

All I have for sale is listed here. MF is fast growing tree for me, I know how to make plants grow fast,
no fruits, as I do not care about fruits, only cuttings.
                      Thank you.

Amazing how his offerings on Ebay have exploded in the number / varieties that he is listing... He may be a mole on various forums watching to gauge cultivar interest and adjusting his offerings accordingly....

Fabio... it is a good policy... keeping things close to the vest reduces risk in many ways... look at that Kardasian jewel theft debacle... walk around and tell everybody you are worth millions and have fantastic jewelry and that makes you a target for jewel thieves... In our world, the scammers come after us by targeting our fig addiction to desirable varieties...

It really does suck! But there is always going to be some jerk who wants to take advantage of people. I would love an active member page or something so that I can purchase from trustworthy folks!
