  • Saved White Triana w/ AirPot Airlayer

I purchased 2.5' White Triana that refused to
grow. When I transplanted it I noticed small yellowish nodules on parts of the root ball - looked exactly like root knot nematodes.

I made the decision to air layer with an AirPot in attempt to save the tree. The layer took about a month to take, and as soon as it did, the tree immediately started pushing tons of new growth

Wow, it looks like the AirPot really made those roots branch nicely! Have not tried air-layering before. Have you had a good success rate with it? If so I may want to try it. Great pics!

Even on some plants where the roots are just fine they just don't grow yet if you layer them the airlayer may take right off and roar, have seen it so many times. My theory is a plant that starts off slow tends to stay slow and those that zoom stay in that mode.
