  • OT: Pokemon Go

If anyone else plays, they're rolling out a Thanksgiving event on Wednesday, much like the Halloween event. Double XP and stardust, so save up those Pokeballs! Extra critters will include all bird and horse type Pokemons. Yay!

I saw people play this in my village this summer and thought the Zombie Apocalypse had arrived. Wondering aimlessly through the streets, exhibiting limited awareness and poor coordinator. The afflicted seamed to avoid eye contact, possess little energy and grunt or nod occasionally in the direction of a lamp post. Static, torpid gatherings, were common but what surprised me was the age range - anyone can be afflicted; young children, lots of millennials and even grand parents.

The population has declined now, I think the reduction in temperature has thicken their blood to the point of being in state of suspended animation..... I wonder if they will come back next year?

Hahahaha--I'm not that bad, I promise. I'm lucky enough to live by a little town on a river that has a great walking trail. I go after work or on the weekends and get my exercise in.

Heck yea I play. My whole family does really. Great way to convince my 4 year old to go on hikes with me.

Good to know about their events. They don't put much info about it. The holloween event confused the heck out of me.

We had someone get hit and killed by a car becuase they obliviously stepped out into traffic.

And others arrested for trespassing showing no regard for boundaries or others.

I've heard of numerous auto wrecks as well. The dumb driver playing and not actually driving!

There have been similar idiots around Baltimore. It wouldn't surprise me if someone fell into the bay in the inner harbor while playing.

They had to change hours and close a park here at 6:00 with security and police guards. It was a gym and clogged so bad people were parking on neighbors yards and peeing on their shrubs and bushes. Sounds like it would be so much fun to play as a family.
