Nice to see a new platform to discuss fig culture.. I joined a few minutes ago to weigh in on what is being posted about the LSU figs. There is some nonsense being written about these figs and I will address those errors.
Very happy to have your comments Dan! I have read and reread your blogs and other posts when they were available. I hope you can continue with your research and help us to understand those LSU figs. It would be nice to see a listing of your current collection.
Will you be auctioning off any in the near future? For those who do not know I believe all of his auctions proceeds go to charity. Dan correct me if I am wrong.
Welcome to Our Fig Forum community.
Thanks for sharing your info in the past, I've used and posted on some of it.
Looking forward to your informative posts.
I will do my best to be helpful to members of this forum when asked to do so. My intent is to mostly lurke. Most of my fig related information and reports on my research activities will continue to be revealed exclusively on my fig Blog. Caution: don't go there if you cannot handle the truth.
Hey King and welcome to the forum! I'm a major Fig noob and have recently jumped headfirst into the fig game purchasing my first Fig trees and cuttings the last week including Excel, Black Mediera, Col De Dame Noir rooting in Coir, Col De Dame Blanc arriving in a week or 2 bareroot, and a Smith that was shipped to the wrong house yesterday and is being supposedly being retracked by the delivery man today ( YOU HAD ONE JOB FEDEX MAN!!!!)
Just want to say that I have followed your reports and post on Figs4fun and your blog and you have greatly contributed to my recent blind purchases... Especially when you ranked Excel and Smith 12 out of 10 being the highest rated out of about 20 figs you mentioned....calling them "Pass out good" King I blindly trust your judgement for some reason, I would probably jump of a bridge if you said it had a safety deployably net that would catch me..... I'm sure excel is going to be amazing...hopewfully FEDEX finds out where they dropped my Smith off too and the tree is still alive and not too stressed!!!
