  • Update complete.......

Here are a list of the changes, not the bug fixes but that does not matter. The best one is pictures are fixed, you can now click on the picture and have it open full size.

We're proud to announce the release of vBulletin 5.1.6. It is now available to all customers. All together over 100 issues have been resolved in vBulletin 5.1.6. While most of these issues are bug fixes, there have been a few enhancements to the software.

    Lightbox Improvements
The lightbox for Gallery posts has been improved. The overall layout has been improved with better control placement. This has allowed a larger window and better image display. Clicking or tapping on the image will show it full size in the same browser tab. Early testing showed that the Lightbox had additional problems in Responsive mode. These have been resolved.

    Notification Improvements
In order to handle some performance issues related to posting, the notifications subsystem has been refactored. When vBulletin 5 was originally developed, the notifications system was built on top of the private message system. That was built on the node system. This created a lot of overhead that was not needed and impacted performance. To resolve this, we have refactored the notifications system and separated it completely from Private Messages and the Node system. This not only allows us to improve performance when posting but allows us to expand the Notifications system in the future. The current refactor is to replace the existing functionality with performance in mind.
    New Tables:
    • notification
    • notificationcategory
    • notificationtype
    Known Issues:
Read Marking of notifications has not been improved. This is being worked on in 5.1.7.
    Responsive Mode
We have made improvements to the responsive display of the Lightbox and the Featured Content Slider. Additional fixes have been applied to the general handling of smilies and images within the responsive content editor. Responsive mode will receive future enhancements in upcoming versions of the software.

New User Registration on Mobile Apps
There was an issue with new user registration on the Android Mobile App. This has been resolved. VBV-14467

OK Does full-size mean full screen? Hope so. Wills I noticed your greenhouse picture opened up to a nice viewable size. Many photos before we're tiny and my eyes really couldn't see them well.

Alas the email notification is not working for me. I sent myself 3 PM test messages, and not a one made it to my email inbox. I even checked to make sure the address was right, and that the correct message box was checked.

Speaking of PMs, how do you erase a PM? I see my PM(s) on my notifications boards but when I click the button to View PMs the board is blank and there is never any option of erasing the PM I have.
