    I had two Smith trees arrive from JFE nursery, yesterday. They look healthy and I will plant them his weekend. Can't wait to try a few figs!

      If any one wants to sell a cutting or two I would like to try my hand at starting one. I do not have anything to trade because I am just getting g started. I just got a Texas ever bearing that is 2" tall so I have awhile to go before o get any figs. 3-4 years??? Just let me know. Thanks

        My Smith fig dripping honey onto the leaf below. i peeled that honey drip off the leaf like a dried up piece of glue and it was delicious.

          It might be just my eyes, but your Smith looks a heck of a lot like an Alma. Is your fig red inside?

          Yes it is red inside. It is a Smith from Becnels's Nursery in Louisiana. My Alma's did not ripen yet this year
