Master Chief Sona had 9 puppies today as she went into early labor.. She had a C-section scheduled for tomorrow, but Life happened and she amazingly had her puppies naturally which is uncommon in this Breed of dog and often comes with complications (so proud of her). The Vet also said she could only see 6 puppies in the X-rays....what a surprise my Wife had this morning while I was at work. Check out more at my early stage developed website full of bugs and terrible formatting. navybluebulldogs.com

TY WillC.... Since I got home from the base topped with my 1 hour commute, I have started my new second job....cleaning Poo,switching pups off so they all get's to eat, and keeping an eye on Momma so she doesn't squish them... Bullies are incredible Pets, but not to smart and responsible.

Congratulations! I had no idea a bull could whelp naturally. I must disagree with you however...bulldogs are plenty smart. They are just incredibly laid back.I don't think x-rays are as reliable as we'd like. With dobes there are always a few pups tucked inside mom's ribcage. Enjoy your dad duties. I love cleaning up pups, which is probably why my breeder has me pup sit so much.
I see this news as a good omen. I just joined a few minutes ago and already there's dog news!Windham CT zone 6a

Generally they have serious issues whelping, but in some cases they can have pups naturally such as mine. She went into labor a day early from our planned C section date, I immediately called the Emergency Pet Hospital at 6 Am since my Vet was closed. They advised me to first see if she can whelp naturally since the Whelping had already begun. They told my Wife to watch for difficulty of her pushing the pups out, they said if she is having problems pushing a pup out after 45min to an 1h trying, to bring her down there....She managed to push all 6 out that were expected.....then my Wife said they were laying down together and bloop...out came another 1 which repeated 2 more times....this went on from about 6am to about 1240... She did not have all placentas pushed out when we had her examined and re X-rayed shortly after, instead of waiting to see, the Dr. gave her something to expel it just in case...
