Just wanted to give every one a heads up that the evil empire by my house has discounted their potting soil more than half off miracle grow moisture control potting soil is selling for $4 a bag 1 cubit foot. As the new shipments are on pallets

Be sure that you freeze it or boil it before you use it, it is notorious for being full of fungus gnat eggs / larvae.

lol... my advice is to buy as much as you can afford... and then donate it to a community gardening organization that maintains our town's garden spots... Just don't use it for your cuttings! :-)

Lol... Hey I agree with you completely... the background sound you hear is Jefferson screaming in pain on the nickel I am squeezing so hard... That said, I don't even want to think about the cuttings that I laid to rest that were put into MG medium to root and which the gnats feasted on; the cost of those loses offsets any potential savings using the MG... In my mind, drop the cuttings into HCL.... its a far kinder and quicker end....
