Nagala, Fig de Parfum, VilleFranche De Rouergue Noir?

Does anyone know anything about these varieties for sale on eBay right now? I wasn’t able to Google up any information (or change the bold on the font).

Well! Wills is the seller. I got the last round of Nalaga and put it in it's pot tonight! I think Fig de Parfum is a honey fig.

      Mara,

I will be what help I can

Nagala is a heavy producing medium black fig and I would rate it as excellent and it is just a first year tree.

VilleFranche De Rouergue Noir is also a medium size black fig from France. It is its first year with me and I was pretty impressed by it.

Fig de Parfum came from Rafed and he said it was very good but for me what it does mostly is drop and has been a disappointment. It is possible it is a San Pedro type, will know for sure this season. Last summer it had a large main crop all of which fell and had that soft leathery I need the wasp feel to the fruit. So this winter I pruned it just lightly and we shall see about the brebas.

Thanks Will for the info. I can appreciate the honesty of reputable growers who don’t want to over hype their figs, but it’s nice to know something about these varieties, especially if they unusually good ones. How else are we buyers to know what to buy?
What impressed you about the VilleFranche De Rouergue Noir fig. The area of France that it comes from is famous for it's gourmet foods but all I found out about its figs was the article on purple figs stuffed with foie gras.

Since the flavor of foie gras must vary based on duck and goose species used to produce it as well as the food that the ducks and geese were feed, finding the perfect marriage between the fig and the foie gras could lead to another collecting addiction... French, Canadian, American....others....

        Mara,

I am kind of anti fig hype lol and I guess sometimes I take that too far

That should have said the Ville is in its SECOND year. The flavor was above average and it had no splitting issues and for me that is important. The Nagala was a really heavy producer from early season till January and the ones in January still tasted quite good. I am hoping that is a trait it keeps as it gets older as it is nice to have quality fruit not only early but also late in the season.
