  • Spring?

We have had some songbirds showing up.. gold finches, tits, etc.. but, this morning, despite all the rain we are having.. here shows up the first robin.

My backyard looks like a lake. Time to call my son downstream of the Oroville dam. Hope he and Doug are OK.

Gotta be careful of what you pray for. After all this drought we have prayed for rain.. what did we get.. rain rain rain rain rain.. and more rain. In the deep south and the pacific northwest, this would be kinda normal.. but, for CA.. argghhhhh.

We're guilty of the same here, Bill... gotta remind ourselves to wield the power of prayer with restraint!

The rain isn't slowing the work on the dam though... there isn't a five minute gap between transfer trucks bearing boulders passing by on their way to shore up the spillway.
CA 9b "May you sit under your own fig tree..." This metaphor, in use since Solomon, is a wish for the receiver's spirit to know peace, for their family to be secure, and for their life to be fruitful.

Great, hope it works. I don;'t know what kind of rains you are getting last night and today.. but, pretty heavy here. Hope the overflow is keeping up with the incoming. Last I heard they drew it down nearly 50'. Other ams are also in trouble in the greater bay area.

I saw my first robin on Saturday here in Pennsylvania. That's early for us. I have a feeling we are in for one more good snow!

I think I'd take snow instead of ALL this rain.. We will have about 3" by the time the day is over. Backyard is a flood zone (lake) And I prayed for rain....
