  • Droopy leafs

I was putting a little tree in a new container for shipment. I was very careful and dont think i broke anything but always the chance i did. Then a few hrs later the leafs started to droop. The leaf ends are attached good. I gave them a tug and the stem pulled with it. So it doesnt look like they will fall off. Is this from stress or damage or distress to the roots? It should come back right? Looks like the sagging stopped and is not going any further. What do you think. The soil is just moist not wet moist. Heres some pics.

I noticed this the other day in a different picture you had, I'm not so sure your Hardy Chicago is a Hardy Chicago. Keep track of who you trade with so you can inform them if it turns out otherwise. Later this year when you have some mature leaves, maybe take some pictures and ask. Or even better when you get ripe figs you can follow the identification protocol and post again, ( picture of the fig next to a quarter, picture showing the eye of a the fig, picture of the fig cut in half from stem to eye, and a picture of a leaf which represents the norm for that plant). I could be wrong, leaves sometimes change shape a bit as they enlarge and mature.
I you bought it from a store, it's not uncommon for them to be mislabeled.

Here is a picture of Brett's which I took from the varieties list for reference, it's a good representation of what HC leaves look like.
