  • Panache Tree at Home Depot.

    I just scored a 4 foot tall Panache at a Phoenix area home depot with trunk caliper about an inch. for only $23. They had kadota, black jack, brown turkey also.

      That will never happen where I live, not one single big box or nursery carries or will bother to bring in figs.

          Incredible. You will see Bt and Hardy Chicago around here, it would be a waste to bring a Panache, but great deal!

            Thanks guys! Luckily Phoenix has a really long hot growing season so we are able to successfully grow/fruit late season figs. I've heard a lot of good things about the taste of Panache figs...so i'm pretty excited.

                  Hahahaha....Well...let me know guys....i'd be more than happy to buy them...chop the top off into 5-6 cuttings...and bareroot the rest of it. I'll do it all at cost. Let me know!

                    No needed to bare root them to most states, other than saving a bit on freight.

                    I went to the post office today and sent off a large box that weighed 20lbs....it was only $24 to ship 2 day priority...pretty inexpensive for the weight.

                    I shipped a 10 pound box 2nd day for $12 USPS.... so yeah.

                      Good price! Congrats! Our everyday price is $40-50 for that size from several nurseries. I have never seen cheaper than $30

                              I went to 3 different Home Depots today to see if i can find a big VDB....i figure having one that size fast forwards a whole years worth of growth......but no luck... all they had left were Brown turkey and Panache... Guess i was pushing my luck to see if i can score twice....
